Hethersett Academy students achieve exceptional exam outcomes

Hethersett Academy has once again demonstrated excellence, with a remarkable set of GCSE results that reinforce its position as one of Norfolk’s and East Anglia’s top-performing schools. 

An impressive 83% of students scored 9-4 grades in English and maths, 71% achieved 9-5 and 28% were grades 9-7. This continued success reflects the academy’s unwavering commitment to high standards, student achievement, and a culture of aspiration. 

Principal Jane Diver said: 

"We are delighted to celebrate the success of our students, whose hard work, ambition and resilience have led to an excellent set of results. Their achievements reflect not only their commitment over many years, but also the strong partnerships between school, home and the wider community that have helped them thrive. 

Every student should feel enormously proud of what they have achieved. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey, and we are excited to see them take their next steps with confidence and purpose. Congratulations to them all on this well-deserved success.” 

High performing students included Cole B, Kitty D and Isaac K each achieving 7x grade 9s and 2x grade 7/8s, and Johnathan P achieving an average grade of 8.22 across all subjects. 

Amy F (pictured below), who suffered a long period of absence in the months leading up to the examination period, was excited to receive her results today. Amy said “I was nervous this morning, mostly about my English result, but I am very happy with my results in History (grade 8), English and Art (grade 7s)”. Amy is going on to CNS to study A-levels in Law, Sociology and English Literature. Amy’s parents said “The support the school has given has been amazing, especially with Amy having had some challenges. We would like to say thank you!”
