Dance Showcase Thrills at Hethersett Academy
Back
On the 23rd of February, Hethersett Academy was home to their first-ever dance showcase. The performance that took place in the Helen Pye Theatre was the first of its kind to grace the stage with hopes for future performances to come.
Featuring pupils from all year groups it was a night filled with awesome performances that showed off the talent pupils at Hethersett Academy have. From solo dances to large group acts it was amazing to be able to showcase all the hard work of pupils, on a wonderful night full of spectacular performances.
The night also raised money for charity, with treats available in the interval raising money for the Benjamin Foundation, a charity based in Norfolk and Suffolk. On the night we raised in excess of £350.
Sarah Alothman, Second in the PE Department at Hethersett Academy said:
“It was a wonderful experience and a privilege to be able to organise this evening for our dancers. They all put in so much effort and have all been here for all of the rehearsals that we put on, as well as giving up so much of their own time to have the performances ready for the show. I was so glad to be able to see their hard work pay off with a night of amazing performances. It was an incredible evening making me feel a very proud teacher of our students here at Hethersett.”
