Hethersett has outdone even itself this year, with a set of results that marks it as one of the top-performing schools in Norfolk.

An outstanding 85% of students scored 9-4 grades in English and maths – 73% achieved 9-5 and 36% were grades 9-7*.

Principal Jane Diver said:

“Once again, our students and staff have done themselves and the whole community of Hethersett proud with an exceptional set of results.

We can only ask our students to do their very best and they consistently rise to that challenge, determined to push the limits of their potential and time and time again, exceeding expectations.”

These results build on the success of last year, even, which saw 80% 9-4 grades in maths and English and an average 85% 9-4 grades (73% 9-5) across all subjects.

Erin Lartey achieved 10 grade 9s, and was one of more than a dozen students to achieve more than 8 grade 9s.

Erin said:

“I’m very happy with how I’ve done, I think all my hard work has paid off which I’m glad to see.”

Meena Bullock achieved a phenomenal set of results including 8 grade 9s, despite having been absent through a long-term illness for much of the GCSE course.

“I’m really happy, it is something that I didn’t expect to be able to, but I managed to do it because of the support from the school.”
