Meet our Team

Tom joined Hethersett Academy in 2018 as Head of Creative Arts, with a remit to raise the quality of public performances and to oversee the design and launch of the Helen Pye Theatre. In 2020 he was seconded to SLT before taking up the permanent role of Assistant Principal responsible for ethos and enrichment in September 2021. Tom previously taught elsewhere in Norfolk, holding roles including Head of Transition, Head of Department and Director of Raising Achievement. His subject is music; he’s worked as a church organist, piano accompanist, and in a 'Queen' tribute band. Tom believes in the equal importance of enrichment alongside core academic studies, particularly in sport and the arts, and the impact of a diverse and rich curriculum upon young people's lives.
